While many of the linked sites have photos of the girls in the gogo bars, they are taken by or on behalf of the management. You will find that almost all the bars have signs saying "No Photo, No Camera Phone, No VDO" (Video). They are NOT joking. Some clubs, like Peppermint, frisk you and check bags on entry for cameras. Take a photo and the best you can expect is for the film to be removed from your camera and destroyed, together with your camera in you struggle to stop them. We have heard of cases where the customer is injured while being forcably ejected from the club. Don't risk it!
We all know that the camera CAN lie, so Bar Owners are only protecting their business, for which you cannot blame them. Also, cameras can tell the TRUTH and used by the Police as evidence, so the bar ends up in court for entertaining you. Remember - no business, no fun for YOU! The Police use "Righteous" or "Scumbag" Farangs to go undercover and get evidence to ruin YOUR holiday.
If you try to take a photo, you WILL be seen. Not only are security and waitresses on the lookout, the dancers are too. I saw a dancer leave the stage to go report a camera to the door security staff, who then dealt with the matter.
Yes, you can take photos in the beer bars, but be warned that if you show the photos to the girls, they will take a copy (maybe your only one) without asking. It is just expected. They like to send copies home to show they are safe and well. If they ask for the film (negative) to get a copy, do not expect to see it again. Smile and get a second copy.
Back home in the privacy of your own room, some girls do not mind what photos you take, but some still do not like photos of themselves naked. Many think that all digital photos taken in the world go on a massive global website were every photo exists.
The Fuji shop at corner of South Road and Walking Street is open until 1.00am and have good quality copies. Their Enlargements are cheaper than back home.
